Nvidia n7700

NVIDIA drivers

To install the latest NVIDIA drivers go to www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers
All you have to do is:
1) choose your OS version
2) download desired driver version
3) download the corresponding INF file
4) run the driver - it will extract the files
5) copy downloaded INF file to the folder where you have extracted the driver files (choose overwrite when Windows asks you)
6) run setup.exe and enjoy the new driver :-)

ATI drivers

To install the latest ATI drivers:
All you have to do is:
1) Download MSXML 4.0 from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=24B7D141-6CDF-4FC4-A91B-6F18FE6921D4&displaylang=en
2) Make sure UAC is turned off (if your OS is Vista). Check here how to do it:
http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm
3) Download the driver for your VGA from www.ati.com
4) Run the downloaded driver, let it extract into c:/ATI/SUPPORT - but cancel the installation once the driver is extracted.
5) Run Mobility Modder (http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool) - browse to the driver in C:ATI/SUPPORT/ - an example of Catalyst 7.4 would be C:\ATI\SUPPORT\7-4_vista32_dd_ccc_enu_44985 - hit modify. Wait until driver is modified.
6) In Vista, go to C:\ATI\SUPPORT\7-4_vista32_dd_ccc_enu_44985 (Or whatever the driver installation folder was called), and run the SETUP.EXE. Please note you might see a "Driver is not WHQL certified", ignore this, as it is a side effect of the modification.
7) Reboot and enjoy :-)
